About Gene:

This inherited genetic syndrome has the ability to give growth to benign polyps on the walls of the digestive tract (hamartomatous polyp) and it also increases the risk of cancer through various parts of the body e.g. breast, colon, rectum. Dark spot around the lips, mouth being the most obvious symptom.

Sign and Symptoms:

  1. Dark Spots around various area of the body
  2. Vomiting
  3. Abdominal Pain
  4. Hamartomatous Polyp

Diagnosis:

(1) Medical history collection, Gastrointestinal examination, Blood test, OBT, USG, Upper gastrointestina

Preventions:

Regular clinical checkups(CT, MRI, Colonoscopy) every few years
